How to Copy Items Between Lists
SpeedList’s most powerful feature is the ability to quickly and easily copy items between lists.
For a detailed, step-by-step tutorial of how to copy items, follow this link:
Copying is always performed in three steps:
(1)Navigate to the destination list.
(2)Select a source list.
(3)Select items to copy.
The items selected in (3) are copied to the destination list. The three steps are described in detail below where the screenshots are from a session where items from a “Food Shopping (Master List)” are copied into a temporary “Food Shopping” list.
(1) Navigate to the Destination List
Use the “back” button and select sub-lists to navigate to the desired destination list. The copy operation will add items to this list. In the following screenshot the destination list is empty.
(2) Select a Source List
Tap the “++” button to initiate the copy operation.

(3) Select the Items to Copy
After a source list is selected, its items and sub-lists are displayed in a view that allows those elements to be selected. Sub-lists can be expanded to reveal their items.
Regular items have square selection buttons while sub-lists have triangular ones. Sub-lists also have chevrons which can be tapped to expand and collapse them. In the following screen shot, the “Fruit” sub-list has been expanded.
When an item or a sub-list is selected its button changes to a blue icon with a “+” sign, indicating that it will be copied to the destination list. In the case of sub-lists, the entire hierarchy of that list will be copied, including all of its sub-lists, their sub-lists, etc. Hence when a list is selected, its expand/collapse chevron is not needed and so the chevron is removed, as shown below with the “Fruit” sub-list.
In the following screen shot the “Fruit” sub-list has been selected and so it will be copied in its entirety. The “Sweets” list is not selected but its “Ginger Cookies” item and “Halloween Candy” sub-list are, so they will be copied directly into the destination list (not under a “Sweets” sub-list).
After the “Done” button is tapped, the selected items and lists are copied to the destination list. In our example, the formerly empty “Food Shopping” list now has items copied from a master list. The “Fruit” and “Halloween Candy” lists are complete, independent copies of the originals found in the source list.
A view will appear that asks for a source list.
Alternatively, tap the “Actions” button and then tap the “Copy” action button.
