How to Create Lists

Lists can be organized into a hierarchy.  Lists at the top of the hierarchy are not contained within any other list.  To create this type of list, navigate back to the top of the hierarchy until the title of the view is “Lists”.  Tap the “new list” button:

A view appears which allows one to choose between the creation of a new item and a new list.  Change the selection to the “list” option since the “item” option is selected by default.

Enter the new list’s name.  Tap the “Save” button to add the new sub-list to the current list.  Tap the “Done” button to return to the current list.

Note that list names cannot be blank.

SpeedList will then present a view where the new list’s name is entered.  Tap the “Done” button on the keyboard to create the list.

To create a sub-list, navigate to the list in which the new list is to be created.  For example, to create a “Vegetables” sub-list of “Food Shopping”, be sure that SpeedList is currently showing the contents of the “Food Shopping” list.  Tap the “new item” button:
