How to Delete Items
Items and lists can be deleted in three ways:
(1)Enter “edit mode” and pick individual items.
(2)Swipe across them (when not in edit mode).
(3)Use one of the “delete” action buttons.
Warning: Deleted items are immediately and irrevocably erased. See the instructions on “backing up” to avoid calamities. Use smart naming conventions to clearly identify the role and importance of a list. Use the lock feature to protect important lists.
or if currently viewing a list:
Once in edit mode, tap the red deletion buttons and the “Delete” confirmation buttons. To cancel deletion, tap outside of the confirmation button.
Deleting from Edit Mode
Enter “edit mode” by tapping on the “Edit” button:
Deleting When Not In Edit Mode
A faster way of deleting is to swipe across an item or list. This bypasses the need to go into edit mode. Simply use the swipe gesture on an item or list and then confirm deletion.
Deleting Using an Action Button
Tap the “Action” button to delete either all items or just those items that are completed.
A multitude of action buttons will appear. Tap either the “delete selected” or “delete all” button.
Delete Selected
Delete All
In the case of “delete selected”, only the selected items in the current list will be deleted. Selected items in sub-lists will not be deleted.
Note that if the current list is locked then the background of the deletion buttons will be gray and deletion cannot be performed. Lists can be effectively locked by virtue of being a descendant of a locked list.
