How to Organize Lists
SpeedList allows a hierarchical organization of lists. For example, rather than having just one "Food Shopping" list with all items under it, sub-lists for different kinds of food can be created. The choice to create sub-lists and which sub-lists is up to you.
It is recommended that the use of sub-lists is kept to a reasonable minimum. Start with just one or maybe two levels. The more deeply nested lists become, the easier it is to get lost in the hierarchy, just as it is with folders in your main computer's file system.
The following side-by-side figures compare a "flat" food shopping list with one that makes reasonable use of sub-lists.

Note that regular items and sub-lists can exist at the same level. The list on the right could be given additional sublists for dairy, meats, etc.
